• Kalsekar Hospital has two dedicated canteens / cafeterias.
  • Quality food is necessary for speedy recovery and proper nutrition of patients.
  • Canteens are functioning under direct supervision of a Senior Dietician. Utmost care is taken for maintaining hygiene and quality of food served to the patients and visitors.
  • Complete staff of both the cafeterias are monitored for their personal hygiene and have to undergo periodic medical examinations to make sure the food handlers are not contaminating the food.
  • Food preparation area along with main Kitchen is under CCTV surveillance.
  • Material procured and stocked at Canteen store is sent for quality check randomly. Strict pest control schedules are maintained for securing food stock.
  • Food prepared is randomly analysed from Food Testing facilities.
  • Food menu is designed by dietician and food experts so that maximum benefits can be provided to the patients without compromising much on taste factor.
  • One cafeteria is situated on ground floor of main hospital building which serves for patient relatives and hospital staff. Due to availability of snacks and breakfast items it’s quite popular amongst visitors. It is functional from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm.
  • Another cafeteria is situated in second building of Kalsekar Hospital which specifically caters for meals of patients staying in various wards of Hospital. It is functional from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm.
